How it Works

To Donate Furnishings

For Donors

  • Contact us about your intended donation at (260) 349-1942.

  • You will be given a phone number to call our driver to set an appointment for pickup only if you have no other means of getting the furniture to us.

  • You will be responsible for having the furniture readily available for the driver to pick up; place the furniture in an easily accessible location, such as a garage or in a room near the door.

  • Please do your best to have someone available to help our driver load the furniture.

  • A receipt for your in-kind donation will be provided upon request

To Receive Furnishings

For Neighbors in Need

  • Make an appointment by calling (260) 349-1942. An appointment at our office is required to explore furniture options.

  • Delivery is available only if you have no way to pick up the item(s). A delivery fee applies.

  • You are responsible for providing people to unload the furniture at its destination. (Our driver has the right to refuse unloading if no one is present to help unload - and delivery fees will still apply, even if the furniture is not unloaded. If this happens, no further delivery efforts will be made.)

  • If we can help, and you find furnishings you wish to purchase, you will be given a number to call our driver to set an appointment for delivery.

  • Our driver(s) are only responsible for delivery to your door step.

  • Households may not be able to receive both a bed and a couch; it depends upon the availability of mattresses.

  • Furniture is available only to permanent residents. We do not provide furniture for those living in transitional housing, hotels, or other short-term living situations.

Proof of Address

You must bring proof of address (and a photo identification) to verify that you are a Noble County resident.

Proof of Address may include either of the following:

  • A printed utility bill. The bill must reflect the current month and be issued in the name of a person living in the home.

  • A piece of mail addressed to you that is dated within the last 30 days.

  • Present an online billing account; we will accept an online billing account as Proof of Address if produced on a mobile device while on site, as long as it contains your name, your address, and a transaction date within the past 30 days.

  • A lease agreement or current year lease addendum, or letter from your landlord.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECK STUBS, RENT RECEIPTS, OR A PHOTO ID (alone) AS PROOF OF ADDRESS.

Identification

Bring a current photo identification (ID) for all adults 18 and older. For children under the age of 18, you must provide one of the following:

  • Birth Certificate
